I see a lot of people using social media and a lot of people “leaving money on the table,” as they say.

In other words, they are making serious mistakes that adversely impact the effectiveness and success of their social media posts.

Hey, if you have time to use Facebook why not use it correctly? Otherwise, aren’t you just wasting time?

One of the most common mistakes I see on Facebook business pages is the lack of links. Facebook business pages are a great way to drive traffic to your website, and one of my favorite TRAFFIC BUILDING STRATEGIES. But without links in your posts you’ve really missed a huge opportunity.

I recommend a link to your website in the first three lines of your post. This addresses the “See More…” issue.

I also recommend a link to your website, or the appropriate page at your website, at the bottom of all of your Facebook page posts.

For example, if you are posting Frequently Asked Questions about your business / products / services at your Facebook business page link to the FAQ page at your website.

And don’t forget to optimize your Facebook business profile page with information about your business and a link to your website. Keeping all social media profiles optimized and up to date is an Internet Marketing Best Practice.
